(Sheldon)– Ground was broken Thursday for a major commercial development at the intersection of Highway 18 and the new Highway 60 four-lane expressway in Sheldon.
Developer Gary Schade of Bellevue, Nebraska announced plans to build a convenience store and McDonalds restaurant on the site, to be known as “Sheldon Crossing”.
Mark Gaul of the Sheldon Chamber of Commerce and Development Commission says the project is significant in that it fulfills two major goals for the intersection: food and fuel.
Construction is currently underway with completion slated for mid to late summer.
