Gas Leak Results In Evacuation

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A gas leak at an industrial park in Spencer has been repaired.

The leak happened around 6:00 a.m. this (Tuesday) morning when a car hit an Aquila gas line at the Veridian Limited Plant.

Aquila spokesman Jim Anderson says no one was hurt, but the area was cordoned off.

Workers at Veridian, which makes protective gear for firefighters, and a nearby plant, Lakes Machining Company, were being kept off the site until repairs were made.

Anderson says the all-clear was given around 11:00 a.m.
