Semi Crash Injures South Dakota Man

(Heron Lake, Mn.)– A crash Friday in southwest Minnesota involving a semi tractor-trailer sent a South Dakota man to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 55-year-old Lawrence Weber of Madison, South Dakota was driving a 2006 Peterbilt eastbound on Highway 60 between Heron Lake and Brewster when he left the road. Officials say the semi then struck a field approach.

Weber was taken by ambulance to the Worthington hospital and was transferred to a Sioux Falls hospital with a possible neck injury.

Moderate damage was reported to the semi.

The mishap took place around 7:00 a.m.
