14-Year-Old Charged With Threatening Teacher; School Locked Down

November 22, 2014

(Everly)– A local school was locked down today (Tuesday) after a 14-year-old boy threatened a teacher with a knife.

Clay County Sheriff Randy Krukow says deputies were called to the Clay Central-Everly school in Everly around 9:45 a.m.

Krukow says the student, identified as 14-year-old Joshua Hagen of Everly, allegedly threatened the teacher with a hunting knife.

Krukow says an emergency procedure was put into effect and Hagen surrendered without incident. He was charged with terrorism and turned over to juvenile authorities.

Krukow says more charges are possible as the investigation continues.

No one was hurt.
