O’Brien Co. Searches Result In 5 Drug Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– Three search warrants executed on three separate locations in O’Brien county Wednesday resulted in the arrests of five people on drug charges.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says the first search warrant was executed at 215 Oak Street in Sutherland. Officers seized some drug paraphernalia during that search. 47-year-old Robert Pelletier and 38-year-old Deborah Nordigan, also known as Deborah Mawson, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and were booked into the O’Brien county jail. They pleaded guilty and were released on promises to make future court appearances.

The second search took place at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at 375 Third Street Southwest in Primghar. Authorities say evidence was seized, but no arrests were made.

The third search took place around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at 402 Pine Street in Sutherland. Authorities seized drug paraphernalia and discovered a clandestine methamphetamine lab in a shed on the property. Clandestine lab officers from the O’Brien and Clay County Sheriff’s Offices collected evidence from the lab materials and rendered the site safe.

Three people were arrested in connection with that search. They include 24-year-old Josilyn Schuknecht who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; and 21-year-old Jarrod Schuknecht and 24-year-old Brandon Schuknecht. They were both charged with possession of precursors.

Josilyn Schuknecht pleaded guilty and was released on a promise to make future court appearances; bond for Jarrod and Brandon Schuknecht was set at nearly 10-thousand dollars each.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Clay and Dickinson County Sheriff’s Offices, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Iowa State Patrol, Sutherland police, Sutherland Fire and Rescue and the Sutherland ambulance.
