(Sioux City)– A Spencer man has pled guilty in federal court to a drug charge.
27-year-old Jeremy Corr entered the plea Thursday to a charge of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
During a plea hearing Corr admitted that on three separate occasions in the summer of 2006 he distributed crack cocaine to an informant.
Corr also admitted that during late 2005 to July 2006 he made six to eight trips a month to Minneapolis to obtain crack cocaine for distribution in the Spencer area.
Corr admitted to distributing about 500 grams of crack cocaine.
Corr is being held in the custody of the U-S Marshal pending sentencing, which will be scheduled once a pre-sentence investigation is completed.
He faces a minimum of 10 years’ imprisonment and a possible maximum of 40 years’ imprisonment; a two million dollar fine and atleast eight years of supervised release following any imprisonment.
The case is being prosecuted by the U-S Attorney’s Office and was investigated by the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Spencer Police Department and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
