Durango vs. Motorcycle Collision Injures Spencer Man

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– A Spencer man was injured Wednesday night when a motorcycle he was riding collided with the rear of a vehicle that pulled out in front of him.

The Iowa State Patrol says 28-year-old Michael Frink of Spencer was riding a 1985 Kawasaki southbound on Highway 71 on the south edge of Milford when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Lucas Gunderson of Milford pulled out in front of him. Authorities say Frink was unable to slow down and collided with the rear of a Dodge Durango driven by Gunderson.

Frink sustained leg and hip injuries and was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital.

No injuries were reported to Gunderson, who was cited for failure to yield.

The crash took place around 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 71 and 230th Street.
