Spirit Lake city officials met last night to discuss how funds generated from the local option sales tax should be spent. Although the turn out was light, Spirit Lake City Administator Mark Stevens, says no objections were raised, and reminded voters of the decision they will be asked to make as they head to the polls August 14th. Stevens notes that the change would not address any specific financial need the city of Spirit Lake is currently facing.
