(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision Thursday at the North “Y” in Spencer sent three people to the hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle driven by 22-year-old John Madrigal of Glasgow, Kentucky was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Highway 71 to turn into Dynos when he travelled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by 52-year-old Deborah Morgal of Spirit Lake.
Madrigal and Morgal and a passenger in Madrigal’s vehicle were all taken to Spencer Hospital with minor injuries.
A 1996 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Madrigal and a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Morgal were both totaled.
Madrigal was cited for failure to yield upon entering a highway.
