SL Council Schedules Special Meeting To Talk About Architectural Standards

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake city council Tuesday approved architectural standards for Stoller Fisheries and Progressive Industries which plans to rennovate an existing building and put up a new structure adjacent to that.

It was a follow-up to a meeting last month when the council denied a request for relief from the standards for the rennovation project.

The council took the action Tuesday after negotiating with Stoller on acceptable materials for the project.

When it comes to the city’s highly controversial ordinance on architectural standards, the council Tuesday set a special meeting for Noon August 21st to review some of the problems and ongoing issues with it.
