Underage Drinking Leads To Arrests

(Dickens)– An Ayrshire man faces charges for allegedly providing alcohol to minors.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from an incident early Tuesday when a deputy observed one adult male and three juveniles allegedly drinking alcohol on Main Street in Dickens.

The adult male was identified as 21-year-old Aaron Priester of Ayrshire. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication, second offense, an enhanced serious misdemeanor.

Priester was also charged with three counts of supplying alcohol to minors, a serious misdemeanor.

The three juveniles were also taken into custody.

A 17-year-old female from Dickens was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and minor in possession of alcohol, a simple misdemeanor.

A 16-year-old male from rural Dickens was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and minor in possession of alcohol.

And a 15-year-old male from Ruthven was charged with public intoxication…a simple misdemeanor.

All three juveniles were released to their parents or other responsible adult; Priester was booked into the Clay county jail.
