(Spirit Lake)– The slightly more than five inches of rain that fell within only a few hours early Saturday caused problems on the north end of West Lake Okoboji.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says 900 gallons of wastewater went into West Lake Okoboji when a man hole at a pumping station near the Lazy Lagoon boat ramp in Triboji overflowed.
DNR officials don’t think it will have an adverse affect on the lake. They say the wastewater was diluted by the heavy rain.
