Little Sioux Flooding Results In Road Closure

(Spirit Lake)– Flooding along the Little Sioux River has resulted in a road closure in western Dickinson county.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 190th Avenue between 110th Street and 120th Street in Diamond Lake Township has been closed until further notice due to high water.

Motorists in that area will need to find an alternate route.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued flood warnings for the Little Sioux River West of Milford and downstream at Spencer and Linn Grove. A crest of near 10.8 feet is expected in Spencer Wednesday (Aug. 22nd). Flood stage in Spencer is 10 feet.
