(Armstrong)– Another area town has reported a wastewater bypass to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
The DNR says the city of Armstrong bypassed about a thousand gallons of untreated wastewater to the East Fork of the Des Moines River from about 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday.
Officials say the bypass occurred after about three days of excessive rainfall overloaded a lift station.
