(Asheboro, N.C.)– The CEO of Klaussner Home Furnishings, which operates the former Style Craft manufacturing plant in Milford, says rumors the company has been sold aren’t true.
CEO J.B. Davis says Klaussner has been approached by several groups interested in acquiring the company, but he says owner Hans Klaussner and the company’s management team have decided against a sale at this time.
Davis added they’re moving forward with quote…”exciting strategies that we believe will make us stronger”…unquote.
One of those, Davis says, is a new branding initiative. He says they’re in the process of converting four licensed Sofa Express and More stores in the southeast to a new chain of Klaussnerhome Stores. Senior Vice President of Business Development, Jeff Davis, says Klaussner plans to open atleast 100 licensed Klaussnerhome Stores by the end of 2009.
