(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Endowment Fund is accepting applications for its next round of grant awards.
The application deadline is Friday, August 31st.
The fund was made possible through state gaming funds. The foundations are in counties that don’t actually have casinos.
Welch says organizations that have a 5013-c non-profit status with the state are eligible to apply. She says they have about 54-thousand dollars available to distribute this year…up from 43-thousand last year.
Welch says groups applying for the funds are urged to use the money for specific projects–not operating budgets.
Application forms are available at www.dcefund.org or at the Iowa State University Extension Office on the fairgrounds in Spirit Lake.
