The Spirit Lake City Council wants to know why some streets in the newer parts of town are breaking up. The council Tuesday night approved the hiring of an engineering firm, Kirkham Michael, to conduct an analysis of 35th and 30th streets along with Pinewood Drive and Keokuk Avenue. The study will cost about six thousand dollars.
