(Ruthven)– Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire and Rescue had no sooner responded to a house fire call around 3:30 a.m. Sunday when they were also summoned for assistance by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Chris Yungbluth of Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire and Rescue says they were asked to assist in locating a car that had gone into Lost Island Lake. Yungbluth says the lone occupant of the vehicle was not trapped and was able to get out safely. As a result, Yungbluth says they were able to wait until after the house call fire to send crews to Lost Island.
