(Okoboji)– Another broken natural gas line in Okoboji today (Tues.) resulted in another evacuation.
Chris Yungbluth of Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire and Rescue says a landscaping crew accidentally broke a three-quarter inch high pressure service line while doing some work near 4005 Lakeshore Drive shortly after 8:00 a.m.
Yungbluth says about 20 residents surrounding that area were evacuated as a precaution.
He says crews were able to pinch off the broken line without incident and residents were allowed to return a short time later.
A similar incident occurred a short distance from this one last month.
