November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A traffic stop in Osceola county has resulted in drug charges against a Minnesota man.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a traffic stop Monday on Highway 60 north of Sibley.

27-year-old Nicholas Barke of Mankato was arrested after deputies located a substance alleged to be marijuana in Barke’s pocket and in a back pack that was in the vehicle he was driving.

Barke was charged with possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.

Barke was booked into the Osceola county jail and was later released after posting 1,300-dollars bond.
