(Emmetsburg)– The Iowa Transportation Commission today (Tuesday) awarded a revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy, or RISE Grant, to Palo Alto county.
Up to 268-thousand dollars will be made available to assist with resurfacing about three thousand feet of Palo Alto County Road N-20 and to pave 400 feet of 350th Street east of the intersection with N-20.
The improvements are in conjunction with the expansion of the Farmer’s Corrugated Solutions Plant north of Ruthven.
It’s anticipated the project will create 59 new jobs along with 4.15 million dollars in anticipated capital investment.
