Greenville Woman Accused Of Entering Home Drunk

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A Greenville woman faces charges for allegedly entering a residence drunk.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a report they received shortly before 4:30 a.m. Saturday from a residence at 2670 Highway 18. The caller reported there was a female in the residence that didn’t belong there. While deputies were enroute, the woman fled in a red car.

A vehicle matching the description of the one seen leaving the residence was spotted a short time later by a sheriff’s deputy who stopped it in the 4200 block of County Road M54.

The driver was identified as 35-year-old Traci Curry of Greenville.

Upon further investigation authorities determined it was Curry who had been in the residence.

Curry was taken into custody and charged with trespassing…a simple misdemeanor; and operating while intoxicated…second offense…an aggravated misdemeanor.

Curry was booked into the Clay county jail on 3,300-dollars bond.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department.
