Unofficial Results Show Milford Fire Station Vote Falls Just Short Of Approval

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– It appears for now atleast backers of a new fire station in Milford may have to go back to the drawing board.

According to unofficial results, a referendum Tuesday on a 3.1 million dollar bond issue barely failed to get the 60 percent needed for approval.

According to the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office, the measure received approval from 59.95 percent of those who voted, meaning it fell short by only about one vote.

The results won’t become official until they’re canvassed this coming Tuesday by the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors.
