(Estherville)– The cause of a fire that destroyed an Estherville warehouse earlier this week still isn’t known.
David Schipper, a deputy with the State Fire Marshal’s Office, was on the scene Thursday. He says they were able to determine the blaze started on the northeast side of the building. He added they may never know the exact cause due to the extent of the damage.
The blaze at the Scott Moving and Storage Warehouse at 708 South 10th Street in Estherville broke out around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. Three area fire departments battled the blaze for about four hours.
No injuries were reported.
The building was a total loss, along with most of its contents, consisting of many personal items being stored for other people.
