(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance as it investigates burglaries at two businesses in Gillett Grove.
Deputies say The Rendezvous and R & B Wheelin gas station were broken into sometime early this (Friday) morning.
Access to The Rendezvous was gained by prying open the front door; access to the R & B Wheelin gas station was gained by breaking the front window and opening the door.
Numerous items were taken from the businesses. A dollar amount of damage and value of the missing merchandise wasn’t immediately known.
Anyone with any information or who may have seen anything out of the ordinary should contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
The burglaries were reported around 5:30 a.m. this (Friday) morning.
