E’Ville Man Claims 20K Powerball Prize

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– We now know who purchased a Powerball ticket at an Estherville convenience store good for 20-thousand dollars in last Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.

51-year-old Paul Sparks of Estherville claimed his prize Friday at the Iowa Lottery’s regional headquarters in Storm Lake.

Sparks purchased the winning ticket at the Kum ‘n Go Store in Estherville.

He says he played the same numbers that were shown in a documentary on The Learning Channel titled “The Lottery Changed My Life”. The show mentioned frequently played numbers in the lottery.

Sparks says he and his wife will continue to play the numbers mentioned in the show.

He says they plan to use the money to pay off bills and remodel their house.
