Citizen’s Complaint Results In Drug Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A citizen’s complaint of drug use in a city park in Sibley resulted in the arrests of a man and juvenile on drug charges Wednesday.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Jesse Richardson of Sibley and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Ashton were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia…both simple misdemeanors.

The juvenile was released to the custody of his parents; Richardson was booked into the Osceola county jail on a 1,300-dollar bond.

Authorities say the arrests stem from an investigation into a citizen’s complaint of drug use in Central Park in Sibley.

They say a search of the two men turned up a substance alleged to be marijuana.
