(Spencer)– Some changes in the ranks at the Spencer Police Department.
Police Chief Mark Lawson says two promotions are being made. He says officers Mike Wilson and Ron Whitehead are being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lawson says the positions were opened up as a result of a retirement and the appointment of the Chief’s position from within the department.
Lieutenant Wilson has been with the Spencer Police Department since 1983, and Lieutenant Ron Whitehead has been with the department since 1998.
Their new assignments are effective October 22nd.
