(Spencer)– A Webb man faces drug charges following a search Wednesday by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were serving an arrest warrant on 39-year-old Daniel Griffin at his residence in Webb around 3:30 p.m. for contempt of court, failure to appear. In the process of doing that, deputies discovered a quantity of what’s alleged to be marijunana and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities then obtained a search warrant. They found additional drug paraphernalia, several bottles of prescription pills and a quantity of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. The pills and suspected meth have been sent to the DCR crime lab for testing.
Griffin was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance–marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor. Bond was set at 1,450-dollars.
Authorities say additional charges are possible pending the outcome of lab tests.
Authorities say additional arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
