(Milford)– Now’s the perfect time to get flu shots. That word from Mary Dunleavy of Dickinson County Public Health.
Dunleavy says late October or early November is the ideal time to get vaccinated, before the flu starts making the rounds.
Dunleavy says Dickinson County Public Health has flu vaccine on hand, and that there’s plenty to go around this year.
She says pregnant women, healthworkers, residents of long-term care facilities, adults and children with chronic conditions such as asthma, heart conditions, high blood pressure, diabetes and deficient immune systems are especially urged to get the vaccine.
Appointments for flu shots can be made by contacting Dickinson County Public Health at 336-2682. The cost is 25-dollars. It’s covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare.
