(Arnolds Park)– A three-vehicle chain reaction-type collision this (Wednesday) morning near the intersection of Highway 71 and Broadway Avenue in Arnolds Park resulted in injuries to two juveniles.
The Arnolds Park Police Department says a juvenile, who’s name wasn’t released, was driving a 1996 Ford Taurus that failed to stop and collided with a vehicle in front of it driven by Heather Tuttle of Spirit Lake. The impact pushed the vehicle Tuttle was driving into a third vehicle, driven by John Lambert of Spirit Lake.
The driver of the first vehicle and a juvenile passenger in that vehicle sought their own treatment. No other injuries were reported.
Damage to a 1996 Ford Taurus driven by the juvenile was estimated at 4,100-dollars; 1,500-dollars in damage was estimated to a 2000 Dodge Neon driven by Tuttle; and a 2000 Chevy van driven by Lambert sustained an estimated 200-dollars in damage.
The Arnolds Park Police Department was assisted by the Milford Police Department, Arnolds Park Fire and Rescue and Lakes Regional Healthcare paramedics.
The collision took place shortly before 8:00 a.m.
