(Terril)– A two-vehicle mishap Thursday at the intersection of 250th Street and 270th Avenue west of Terril injured two people.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Lani Miller of Terril was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer southbound on 270th Avenue and was attempting to pass a 1977 International tractor driven by 44-year-old Keith VanKleek of Terril, who was attempting to turn left onto 250th Street. Authorities say Miller swerved to avoid colliding with the tractor, causing her to lose control. The vehicle left the road, went into the ditch, and overturned.
Lani Miller and a passenger, three-year-old Jaden Miller of Terril, sustained minor injuries. They were taken to a clinic by private vehicle.
No injuries were reported to VanKleek.
Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the Ford Explorer driven by Miller; no damage was reported to the tractor driven by VanKleek.
The mishap took place shortly after 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
