(Sibley)– A man wanted in connection with a vehicle that had been reported stolen in downtown Sheldon has been taken into custody.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 20-year-old Anthony Cooper of Boyden Sunday evening. He was charged with theft in the second degree…a class “D” felony.
Authorities say it stems from a report they received earlier in the day about a vehicle that had been reported stolen from downtown Sheldon. A vehicle matching that description was spotted a short time later in downtown Sibley where Cooper was taken into custody without incident.
Cooper, who was also cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license, is being held in the Osceola county jail on a five thousand dollar cash bond.
