(Arnolds Park)– Meeting in special session Monday, the Arnolds Park city council voted to make an offer on some property at 228 North Highway 71…just north of Tom’s Plumbing and Heating.
City Administrator Ron Walker says the city would use a portion of that land to put in a turning lane to accomodate increased traffic on Linden Drive that’s expected from Bridges Bay. Walker says the land that isn’t needed will be put back on the market.
He adds that even if the offer is accepted, it would be atleast another year or two before any work would start. Walker says it would probably be staged with the Sawmill Bridge replacement project.
In other business, the council also approved an agreement with an architectural firm for the design of the city’s new public works building to be constructed east of Pelican Ridge.
