Semi Mishap Injures South Dakota Man

November 22, 2014

(Worthington, Mn.)– A South Dakota man sustained minor injuries after losing control of a semi tractor-trailer Wednesday on Interstate 90 at the junction with Highway 266 in Worthington.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the westbound semi left the road to the right and struck a light pole. Authorities say the impact caused the trailer to separate from the tractor.

The driver, 49-year-old Robert Brown of Yankton, South Dakota, was taken to the Worthington hospital where he was treated for some bumps and bruises and released.

The 2005 Freightliner semi tractor and the trailer it was pulling were totaled.

The mishap took place around 3:19 p.m.
