(Spencer)– A Milford man wanted on a warrant out of Cherokee county was taken into custody Wednesday in Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of two people possibly throwing firecrackers at passing vehicles in the 2400 block of County Road B-24.
Two deputies responded to the scene and found the two subjects riding bicycles. One of the men was identified as 19-year-old Nicholas Flinn of Milford. A check indicated Flinn was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Cherokee county for theft in the fifth degree. He was taken into custody.
Deputies determined the two men were not in possession of firecrackers at the time. The other subject was released without charges.
Flinn was taken to the Clay county jail where he was being held for Cherokee county.
