Single Vehicle Crash Results In Minor Injuries To Wisconsin Woman

November 22, 2014

(Worthington, Mn.)– Authorities say blowing snow was a contributing factor in a single-vehicle mishap Thursday south of Worthington that injured a Wisconsin woman.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 73-year-old Alberta McBride of Mequon, Wisconsin was driving a 2003 Toyota Prius that drifted onto the shoulder. Authorities say McBride then over-corrected, causing her to lose control. The vehicle went into the ditch.

McBride sought her own treatment for what was described as a minor injury.

Moderate damage was reported to the vehicle.

The mishap took place shortly before 10:00 a.m.

Authorities say visibility was very poor in that area at that time due to blowing snow.
