(Worthington)– A two-vehicle collision Friday on Interstate 90 at the Rushmore exit in Nobles county injured a Jackson couple.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 55-year-old Gary Stewart of Jackson was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger westbound when he lost control. The pickup rolled through the median and west up on to the eastbound lane where it was struck by an oncoming vehicle driven by 28-year-old Tara Pistorius of Rushmore.
Stewart and a passenger, his 51-year-old wife Jill, were both taken by ambulance to the Worthington hospital. Gary Stewart was treated and released; Jill was held for observation. No injuries were reported to Pistorius.
The pickup Stewart was driving was totaled; moderate damage was reported to a 2006 Pontiac driven by Pistorius.
The mishap took place around 7:20 a.m.
