(Spirit Lake)– The date has been set for this year’s Relay For Life for Dickinson county.
It will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12th and will continue until 6:00 a.m. Sunday, July 13th at the Spirit Lake High School track.
The annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society involves teams of up to 15 people with one member from each team walking or running around the track for the entire 12 hours.
The event also features food, entertainment, and other activities.
Teams may sign up by contacting Jane Fisher at 338-2406. Any business, company or organization that would like to sign up as a sponsor should call 330-4049 or 330-2048.
An informational and team captain’s meeting will be held this Thursday, January 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Bank Midwest Community Room in the Great Lakes Mall in Spirit Lake. Anyone who would like to join a Relay For Life team and/or the Relay For Life Committee is encouraged to attend that meeting.
