(Arnolds Park)– A trail and street lighting project could be in the offing in Arnolds Park.
The city council earlier this week authorized an engineer to proceed in putting together a design and cost estimate for such a project from Hinshaw Bridge east to 240th Street–in the vicinity of Bridges Bay.
City Administrator Ron Walker cites an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic in that area. He says it could become a safety issue in the future.
A possible timeframe should the council decide to proceed with the project hasn’t been established yet.
Walker says atleast a portion of the project would likely be funded through a tax increment finance district that’s in place in that area.
