I-90 Rollover Near Jackson Injures S.D. Woman

(Jackson, Mn.)– A South Dakota woman was injured late Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 two miles east of Jackson.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 59-year-old Mary Holst of Spearfish, South Dakota lost control of an eastbound 1997 Honda Accord. The vehicle went onto the right shoulder. Authorities say Holst over-corrected and the vehicle slid sideways. It went into the median and rolled.

Holst was taken to the Jackson hospital where she was treated for minor cuts to her hand and a possible broken hand.

The vehicle was totaled.

The mishap took place shortly before 5:00 p.m.

The State Patrol was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
