(Spirit Lake)—Spirit Lake police have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing this past Saturday at a Spirit Lake motel.
Authorities say 49-year-old Alan Sholar of Winterhaven, Florida was stabbed at the Shamrock Inn. Sholar was treated on the scene by emergency personnel and was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare for further treatment.
Based on an investigation, police say they found probable cause to arrest 42-year-old Deborah Sholar, also of Winterhaven, Florida. She was charged with willful injury…a class “D” felony; domestic abuse assault…an aggravated misdemeanor; and public intoxication…a simple misdemeanor. She was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
