(Spirit Lake)—A special closed session of the Spirit Lake School Board scheduled for 4:30 this (Tues.) afternoon was cancelled at the last minute.
The agenda stated the meeting was being held to discuss “imminent litigation”. But it was cancelled around 3:00 p.m. No reason for the cancellation was given.
The meeting was scheduled late yesterday (Monday).
It came on the heels of petitions being filed Monday in Dickinson County District Court calling for the removal of the board’s President and Vice President, Beth Will and Ann Goerss. There was never any official indication though that the special meeting was to have anything to do with that development.
