(Spencer)– A search of an apartment in Spencer has resulted in drug charges against four Spencer men.
The Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force, consisting of deputies from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Spencer Police Department and Adult Probation Officers from the third Judicial District, conducted a probation search at 415 4th Avenue West, Apartment four in Spencer.
During the search authorities found what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia in plain view along with the strong odor of burned marijuana.
Authorities say 20-year-old Jaykie Harrington, 20-year-old Paul Davis, 24-year-old Anthony Knapp and 21-year-old Scott Riley were all present in the apartment at the time.
Harrington was found to be in possession of what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia; Knapp was found to be in possession of what’s alleged to be a marijuana blunt; Riley was in possession of what’s alleged to be marijuana and a marijuana pipe; and Davis was found to have an active Clay County arrest warrant for delivery of a controlled substance. He was booked into jail on a five thousand dollar bond.
Harrington was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia and promoting a gathering where drugs are unlawfully used. He was booked into the Clay county jail on one thousand dollars bond.
Knapp was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into jail on a one thousand dollar bond.
Riley was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Clay county jail on a one thousand dollar bond.
