(Spencer)– Spencer residents will soon be able to see in black and white what the quality of of their drinking water.
Officials with Spencer Municipal Utilities say they’re in the process of distributing the annual Consumer Confidence Report on water quality.
The report is based on testing conducted during 2009. It covered more than 80 contaminants, and SMU officials say it shows there were no violations of EPA rules for water quality.
In addition to test results, the report also gives details on SMU’s water source, treatment methods and other information.
The report will be included in water bills for the month of June. Copies are also available at the SMU customer service center and on the SMU website at www.smunet.net.
