Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charge Against Spencer Teen

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop last week in Clay county resulted in the arrest of a Spencer teen on a drug charge.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle around 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of 400th Street.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a baggie containing what’s alleged to be marijuana.

The driver, 18-year-old Joshua Coenen of Spencer, was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Clay county jail on a one thousand dollar bond.

Two juvenile passengers weren’t charged.
