Dickinson Co. Sheriff Faces Competition In June Primary

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson County Sheriff Greg Baloun faces a challenge in the upcoming June 3rd Primary Election.

Baloun, a Republican, has filed for re-election. He’s being challenged by fellow Republican Stacy Newgard. Shilo Brevik of the Spirit Lake Police Department was the only Democrat to file and will square off against the Republican winner in the November General Election.

Other Dickinson county offices up for election will be uncontested in the Primary. Nancy Reiman is running unopposed for re-election as a Democrat for County Auditor; David Gottsche is unopposed as a Democrat for District Three on the board of supervisors; and Pam Jordan is unopposed as a Republican for the District Five seat on the board of supervisors.
