(Spirit Lake)—A judge has denied a motion to dismiss a case that seeks to remove the Chairman and Vice Chairman from the Spirit Lake School Board.
Judge Donald Courtney ruled earlier this week to deny the motion to dismiss filed by attorney Steve Avery on behalf of Beth Will and Ann Goerss.
A motion by the plaintiffs in the case to amend their petition in the case was granted. They requested the amendment to make the petition more legally concise.
A date for a trial in the case hasn’t been set yet.
