(Orleans)– A parasail that blew away from some people on shore caused some excitement Sunday evening on the south side of Big Spirit Lake.
It started around 7:30 p.m. when a DNR officer reported finding a parasail on the lake off from the pump house.
Concerned there may have been a person in the water, a search was called and the Spirit Lake Fire Department and its watercraft were called to the scene. Just as they were arriving, authorities received a call from some people on land saying the parasail had blown away from them and that there was nobody in the water.
After meeting with the group to confirm that, the search was called off.
