(Emmetsburg)– Search warrants executed on three locations in Pocahontas and Palo Alto counties have turned up property stolen in several recent burglaries in the region.
The first search warrant was executed Monday by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office at 312 North East Fifth Street in Pocahontas with assistance from the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office and the Pocahontas Police Department. Items stolen last Friday in a burglary in Emmet county were recovered.
Based on information obtained during that search, authorities executed a search warrant on a vacant farm place in Palo Alto county. That search turned up stolen firearms and other property from a burglary in Clay county that took place last Thursday, April 17th.
A third search warrant was then executed at 603 King Street apartment 13 in Emmetsburg where additional items were seized.
So far, authorities say one arrest has been made in the case.
29-year-old Joshua Fridolfson of Pocahontas was arrested and booked into the Pocahontas county jail for possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.
Fridolfson also faces charges out of Palo Alto county, Clay and Emmet counties.
He’s being held in the Pocahontas county jail pending an initial court appearance.
Authorities say the investigation continues and additional arrests will be made.
The Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Palo Alto and Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Offices are involved in the ongoing investigation, along with the Emmetsburg and Pocahontas Police Departments, Federal Bureau of Alcohol-Tobacco and Firearms and the Palo Alto County Attorney’s Office.
